Summary:
"A Step into the Past" is a 'back-to-the-past' kinda story with a modern-background introduction, began with Louis Koo as a top police officer in Hong Kong who has a mission to help with the latest experiment, a time machine. He has a girlfriend for many years played by Sonjia Kwok. However, Louis loves to be independent and fails to realize that Sonjia wants to get married and that their relationship is falling apart. Sonjia leaves Louis and gets married to someone else leaving Louis stunned. Louis desperately finds a way to tell her that he is in love with her and wants to marry her, but it is too late. The man promises that if Louis completes the mission, he will send Louis back in time to save his relationship with Sonjia.

Will he ever go back with Sonjia once the mission is completed? What happen during his journey to the past?

I finally finished watching this series, after putting it off for about 2 months hehehe....
This series is very interesting, and very funny :) Louis Koo, even though he's very dark, but still, has that charisma :P he plays as Xiang Shaolong, a guy with so many luck, intelligent and quick-thinking. No wonder, all his plans go smoothly and somehow, he's magnet to every girl he sees. First, it was the princess of Zhao, then TingFang, the only daughter of Wu's Family, whom at first, hated him, but then falls madly in love with him. Then comes another lady, who's smart and intelligent, very elegant, and pretty much looks like Sonjia (his girlfriend in the 21century time).

The ending is somehow unpredictable. I watched this faithfully (tanpa dicepet2in ato di longkap2in, ato ngintip ke nomer terakhir), and somewhat, even in disc 39, I still couldn't guess what will happen in the end. Very very interesting plot. :) Digabung dengan bumbu2 conversation si Xiang Shaolong yg kadang dicampur2 bahasa modern, bahasa Inggris hehehe... lucu2 :P
